General tips
- Wash your client beforehand. Then you can see whether he has sores or warts. Don't take any risks then.
- Always use a condom in the proper way.
- Immediately remove semen and precum that spills onto your skin during having sex. By doing that, you prevent semen or precum from entering your vagina, anus, mouth or a wound.
- Apply a plaster to a cut/scratch on yourself or your client.
Vaginal sex (screw, fuck)
- Add, if necessary, a water-based extra lubricant.
- Rubbing against each other's sexual organs or 'dry fucking' can also give you a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI). So put on a condom straightaway.
- Use a new condom when you have been fucking continuously for 15 minutes.
Anal sex (ass fucking, Greek)
- Always use a condom. Anal sex can give a lot of friction. This causes the condom to tear easily.
- Therefore, use extra water-based lubricant for anal sex.
- Use a new condom when you have been fucking continuously for 15 minutes.
Blowjob
- Always use an approved condom. It protects against HIV when the client comes. Moreover, it protects against STIs like herpes (cold sores), syphilis and chlamydia and gonorrhoea of the throat.
Licking the vagina (Going down on a woman)
- Always use a dental dam. This is a thin piece of latex, that you use to cover your vagina. It can be bought in sex shops.
- It's just as handy to use a condom, which you cut down one side. You can also use plastic wrap. Take care that you do not use wrap with tiny holes in it.
- Also use the dental dam for rimming (anal licking)
Jerking off
- Put a plaster on cuts/scratches on your hand.
- Wash your hands when semen has spilled onto them. You may touch your vagina, mouth or eyes with your hands without being aware of it. Then there is a small risk of contracting an STI.
Fingering
- Make your client wash his hands first.
- Put a plaster on any cut/scratch on your client.
- Use water-based lubricant if your vagina is dry.
Anal fingering
- Put a finger condom on your finger or use a thin latex glove.
- Use a lubricant.
- Use a new condom when changing from anal to vaginal or from vaginal to anal. This way you won't spread any STIs or move intestinal bacteria into your vagina. Add lubricant again.
Kissing (deep kissing, French kissing)
Don't kiss when you can see blisters, sores, ulcers or scabs on or round the client's mouth. Nor when you have them yourself. Either of you may have cold sores. The herpes virus that causes it, is easily transmitted by kissing.
Body-to-body massage
Also for 'body riding' and 'between the breasts' (Russian) it's sensible to use a condom.
Take care that no semen gets into your mouth or eyes if you're not using a condom.
Remove all massage oil if the massage turns into sex. Massage oil contains fats. Oil and fats weaken rubber. They can easily damage a condom.
A massage lubricant without fat (Eros) need not be removed.
Using vibrators and dildos
- Take care that no blood, semen, precum or saliva from the client enters your body.
- With each client always put a condom on the vibrator or dildo and clean them well after use. Click here for more information.
Threesome or group sex
- Put on a new condom with each new partner. Also do this whenever you change the position: from oral to vaginal to anal and the other way around.
- Apply again water-based lubricant when you change partners.
Golden shower (water sports) and scat
- Take care that no urine or faeces enters your nose, eyes, vagina, anus or mouth. If it visibly contains blood, you can contract an STI. Moreover, you can easily be infected with other diseases, such as hepatitis A.
- Getting urine or faeces on your skin is not dangerous.
- Wash with soap afterwards.
S&M (Sadomasochistic sex)
- In case of injuries, take care that no blood, wound fluid or body fluid is exchanged.
- Only use toys that you can clean well. Pay attention to this when you buy them.
- Disinfection is necessary when toys are used inside the body and when there are traces of blood.
- Always clean leather, metal and latex objects after using them with a client. Click here.
Shaving
- Take care that no cuts are made.
- If a cut does occur, apply a plaster. Avoid contact with blood and wound fluid.
- Change disposable blades after each client. Wrap used blades well before disposing of them.
- Clean the replaceable blades of clippers with 70% alcohol.
