Registration and permits
Registration and licenses for the self-employed
If you start work as a self-employed person (and may even employ sex workers) you could be required to request a license from the local authorities. At the present time, whether you need a license depends on the municipality. This allows the local authorities to decide where and how many sex businesses it will permit. Ask your own local authorities about the policy in your municipality.
This can change in the future. The government is working on a new bill whereby a license and registration obligation applies to all types of sex companies, sex workers and sex work. The object of the new bill, which has not yet taken effect, is to combat coercion, abuse and human trafficking.
